Where the data in Viscar API responses comes from, and the license terms that apply to each layer.

Data sources

Every API response carries a machine-readable attribution section listing the providers whose data is present in that specific response. This page is the human-readable companion: the full, current list of data sources and their license terms. Your obligations as an API consumer are defined by the API Terms of Use.

OpenStreetMap Road network geometry underlying routes and segments (segments). ODbL 1.0 Display "© OpenStreetMap contributors" wherever routes or road geometry are shown. Maneuvers and sign placements are produced by Viscar's own algorithms on top of this data.
OpenWeather Weather fields (weather section: per-point conditions, upon-arrival forecast). OpenWeather License Display "Weather data provided by OpenWeather" wherever weather fields are shown. Weather-derived fields are provided for display within your application; systematic extraction or redistribution of weather data is not permitted.
Viscar Road-quality data (quality section) and derived driving alerts (weather.alerts). Proprietary Display within your application only, in the context of a route. Extraction, accumulation, or use of this data to build derivative datasets is prohibited.
